Bending RAUTITAN stabil universal pipes. RAUTITAN stabil universal pipes can be bent using a pipe bender or manually.

Minimum permissible bending radii:

• When bending without tools, the minimum permissible bending radius is five times the pipe's outside diameter
• When bending with a spring pipe bender, the minimum permissible radius is three times the pipe's outside diameter
• It is mandatory to respect the specified minimum radii
• Care must be taken to avoid dents, folds, or crushing during bending, and to ensure that the outer polyethylene layer and the protective aluminum layer are not damaged

* At processing temperatures below 0°C, the bending forces on the pipes will be greater than at temperatures above zero.

Bending RAUTITAN flex universal pipes. Bending RAUTITAN flex universal pipes while hot can damage the oxygen barrier layer and cause leaks. Only cold bending is permitted for RAUTITAN flex universal pipes.

* For pipes with diameters from 16 to 32 mm, the use of bend stops is optional. However, 90° or 45° bend stops save time and effort. For pipes with diameters from 40 to 63 mm, their use is recommended.

When bending manually, the minimum bending radius is eight times the outside diameter of the pipe. When bending with bend stops, the minimum bending radius for RAUTITAN flex flexible pipes is three times the outside diameter of the pipe. The minimum bending radius is measured from the pipe's centerline.
