The RAUPIANO PLUS system's fire resistance corresponds to class B2 (normally flammable) according to DIN 4102, Part 1.

Insulation. Fire protection measures are required when pipes cross fire-resistant building structures (e.g., firewalls, fire-resistant walls, and ceilings). However, the required fire resistance rating of the ceiling must not be compromised. Therefore, protective measures are necessary. Only the use of flame-retardant pipes (class B1) or non-combustible pipes does not require fire protection measures. When using metal sewer pipes, fire spread can occur due to the thermal conductivity of the pipes.

Fire collars. The following fire collars are used for fire protection of penetrations in walls and ceilings using RAUPIANO PLUS sewer pipes.

When pipes cross ceilings, fire stops can be installed during installation or after finishing work.

* When pipes cross walls, two fire stops must be installed (on both sides of the wall). Building codes require that only fire stops with fire certification be used.
