To seal penetrations through walls where water does not exert pressure (up to 0.2 bar) relative to walls or brickwork, wall sealing rings are used. These are available for both RAUVITHERM and RAUTHERMEX systems.

  • The flat face of the sealing ring faces the interior of the building, and the stepped face faces the exterior.
  • Sealing is done with standard repair mortar. The repair mortar must expand. Flowable, non-shrink mortars are not suitable.
  • For proper filling, distances a and b of approximately 80 mm must be maintained in the penetrations. Depending on the repair mortar used, the annular gap (b) can be reduced. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  • The minimum required penetration diameter is indicated in Table. If repair mortar variants with sufficient flow are used, the gap between the pipes and the wall may vary, and a smaller hole size can be selected.
  • Cavities in the wall or brickwork may need to be sealed before applying the repair mortar.
  • Proper filling of the entire sealing ring must be ensured. Consider the current state of the art and comply with the repair mortar manufacturer's instructions!
